Updates

It has been way toooooooo long!
I can't believe how long it's been since I have been on here. I have been keeping so busy and not taking the much needed time to keep everyone updated!

The kids are getting huge and learning so many new things! I love watching them grow and learn. I love helping them learn and grow. Speaking of which....I have decided to Homeschool the kids next year. It was a hard decision filled with a lot of prayer and research...along with hemming and hawing! :)

Cora will be finishing up preschool in 3 weeks. I can't believe how quickly this school year has passed. Cora has grown in leaps and bounds! She can write her own name and recognizes her letters and numbers. She has come home and taught Miles what she has been learning in preschool and so he too has been learning to recognize letters and numbers.

Miles has been learning his numbers and colors in Spanish which has been a lot of fun. He does school at home with mommy when Cora is in school and is learning rhyming words right now. He had his 3rd birthday party and had a blast! A Transformer Pinata made the party a lot of hyper fun! He has also finally learned to ride his bike without any help. That is a huge accomplishment for his short legs!

Wyatt is so sweet and it pained me to see it disappear when the teething started. Cora and Miles just woke up with a mouth full of teeth~Wyatt has to work hard for them! After trying the conventional methods of teething remedies, I went Homeopathic! I ordered him Camilia by Boiron. MAGIC! I got my sweet baby back and he has his relatively pain free teething. He has 5 1/2 teeth now! He is crawling and climbing all over the place. I can't believe that he is going to be 1 in a couple of months! I feel like he was just born! The third one grows up way faster than the first two that's for sure.

We are making some progress on our house finally! I am no Martha Stewart so it is difficult for me to decorate my home. I am thankful to finally have painted our bedroom, hung curtains, and got a new bedspread on! Our basement was once occupied by my brother and now that he has moved out, we have took on the task of painting it and turning it into our playroom for the kids. They love it! I'll get pics posted next month when it's all finished.

My sister is having baby #8 the end of May! Another little BOY! Her #6, David, is having surgery on both of his eyes Friday and we are excited and nervous for the little fella. Her oldest, Shelae, is driving now and that is scary! :) I can't believe she's driving! I'm getting old! :)

I am babysitting 4 days a week now and that keeps me busy. Having 4 kids ages 4 and under can be difficult. I am thankful that she is a good baby.

Puddin'

I decided that it would be fun to let the kids play with their snack as a sensory activity! So, we had chocolate pudding to "paint" and granola and dried fruit to "decorate the painting" and their bodies as the "canvas"! It was a hit!

Miles wasn't sure at first~he usually revels in messes, but this time Mom was "letting" him and he just didn't know what to think about that! It didn't take him long to get into it though.

Cora had a great time and she dug in right away! When Dad came home from work, she invited him to join the fun as well! He took off his shirt and soon he was the canvas that the kids were painting! Cora wanted to make sure that his entire back was covered!

Wyatt remained an outsider to the event~which I am sure he appreciated! He really enjoys watching his brother and sister play. He smiled and laughed and cooed a lot! It was a really enjoyable time for us all! If you haven't had fun with pudding, I suggest you try!

Wyatt's first week!

The Arrival of Wyatt!

We were so very excited for the arrival of Wyatt! He arrived two weeks early, much to everyone's surprise! On June 22, 2008, at 6:30am, I noticed that it was going to be a very special day! I woke Clinton up and we began the "run around". We had to get everything cleaned and packed and ready for the next week. We arrived at the hospital and everything took off from there! He arrived at 5:03pm and was 7 pounds 5 ounces , 20 inches long. Just perfect! He was our smallest baby, but the size of a regular full term baby! He just seemed so tiny to us! And to think that most people have babies his size! We couldn't be more thrilled with our new little man! He is so precious to us! He is very content and sleeps very well! You can't ask for more than that!

Summer 2008!

We are having a lot of fun this summer right in our own back yard! We got the kids a little pool that they love and a swing that I (Amy) love so that we could enjoy being outside together as a family! God has blessed us with great children, great weather, and so much love for each other. I am always thankful for how well the kids get along. I am looking forward to seeing how Wyatt will fit with our little family.

Cora is growing up so fast and she is "teaching" Miles new things all the time! Miles grows so fast "learning" from his big sister and he loves to copy her. He follows her and repeats what she says and does what she does. It is really sweet to see them playing together and learning from each other.

Wyatt~Almost 4 months old!

I can't believe that my baby is almost 4 months old! He is the absolute sweetest baby and I am so very blessed to be his mama! He loves to smile, laugh, talk, chew on his fists, look around his world, coo at Cora and Miles, and of course, drool on his daddy!

I love the shape of his eyes! We call him our Caucasian Asian! :) I am glad he has almond shaped eyes. I love it that my children have Asian characteristics. It's a part of me and my heritage that I am proud to pass down. It's so amazing to see Clinton and I in our children! God is so creative and artistic!

July

It has been a fun July! The kids have been so busy with playing, imagining, and learning new things. It has been fun to watch them grow up this month, especially with a baby brother in the picture. They play so well together and I love watching the new things that they come up with. Like eating in the pool for example! :)

It has also been a joy to have new neighbors move in next door! (I'll post pictures later) They are a really neat family with a lot in common with ours. They have a 10 year old daughter Hannah(Cora is 7 years younger), a two year old boy Major(Miles is 2 months older), and a month and a half old boy Cannon(Wyatt is 2 1/2 weeks younger)! Their parents, John and Cindy, are a sweet couple that we are enjoying getting to know. What a blessing they are to our family!

We have also been getting to know our neighbors caddy corner (across the street) from us! Grant and Quin come over to play all the time! Kyle and Tricia are so kind and generous to our family. They have done so many kind things for our family since we've moved in. It's a lot of fun watching all of our kids get together and play!
