Flat Stanley

My niece sent me a letter asking me to take Flat Stanley around and show him what we do and take pictures to mail back to her. It is for her 2nd grade class project! So here are a few we took with Stanley!

Mary Poppins anyone?

I let Wyatt explore and play while I was cleaning out the garage in hopes to get it ready for our garage sale. When I looked up, I saw him all covered in dirt and his cute little nose all covered like he had powdered it with dirt...just like Mary Poppins!

Pictures

The first two pictures were taken on photo booth where you can take crazy pics! We had a lot of fun so I posted a couple. The other two are of the kids having fun with their hair! :)
Enjoy!!

Snack Time!

Healthy snack time! Wyatt is by far our best and healthiest eater! Cora ate really well but when Miles started saying "yucky" she thought she didn't like things either. I'm sure Wyatt will pick up on these things later, but for now, we are just so very thankful that he eats so well!

I have been so relaxed the 3rd time around with Wyatt! He's not yet drinking out of a sippy cup...he has a few times, but not a lot yet. I am working on him self feeding...as you can see in the picture it gets messy! It is a lot of fun though! I can't believe how quickly he is growing up!

Updates

It has been way toooooooo long!
I can't believe how long it's been since I have been on here. I have been keeping so busy and not taking the much needed time to keep everyone updated!

The kids are getting huge and learning so many new things! I love watching them grow and learn. I love helping them learn and grow. Speaking of which....I have decided to Homeschool the kids next year. It was a hard decision filled with a lot of prayer and research...along with hemming and hawing! :)

Cora will be finishing up preschool in 3 weeks. I can't believe how quickly this school year has passed. Cora has grown in leaps and bounds! She can write her own name and recognizes her letters and numbers. She has come home and taught Miles what she has been learning in preschool and so he too has been learning to recognize letters and numbers.

Miles has been learning his numbers and colors in Spanish which has been a lot of fun. He does school at home with mommy when Cora is in school and is learning rhyming words right now. He had his 3rd birthday party and had a blast! A Transformer Pinata made the party a lot of hyper fun! He has also finally learned to ride his bike without any help. That is a huge accomplishment for his short legs!

Wyatt is so sweet and it pained me to see it disappear when the teething started. Cora and Miles just woke up with a mouth full of teeth~Wyatt has to work hard for them! After trying the conventional methods of teething remedies, I went Homeopathic! I ordered him Camilia by Boiron. MAGIC! I got my sweet baby back and he has his relatively pain free teething. He has 5 1/2 teeth now! He is crawling and climbing all over the place. I can't believe that he is going to be 1 in a couple of months! I feel like he was just born! The third one grows up way faster than the first two that's for sure.

We are making some progress on our house finally! I am no Martha Stewart so it is difficult for me to decorate my home. I am thankful to finally have painted our bedroom, hung curtains, and got a new bedspread on! Our basement was once occupied by my brother and now that he has moved out, we have took on the task of painting it and turning it into our playroom for the kids. They love it! I'll get pics posted next month when it's all finished.

My sister is having baby #8 the end of May! Another little BOY! Her #6, David, is having surgery on both of his eyes Friday and we are excited and nervous for the little fella. Her oldest, Shelae, is driving now and that is scary! :) I can't believe she's driving! I'm getting old! :)

I am babysitting 4 days a week now and that keeps me busy. Having 4 kids ages 4 and under can be difficult. I am thankful that she is a good baby.

Well, I have caught you all up somewhat. There will be pictures to follow! Bye for now!

Miles Turns 3!

I can't believe that my Miles is 3 already! It's shocking to me that I have a 4 year old, 3 year old and a 10 month old! I always knew I wanted children and I guess I just didn't realize that one day I would wake up and not only do I have children, but they are quickly growing up!!

Miles is 3 and doing so many Big Boy things! I am so blessed to have such a sweet, full of life little boy! My prayer and life goal is for him to be an Awesome Righteous Man of God! I can't thank God enough (or sometimes question Him why) for my boy! He is a great brother to Cora and Wyatt and a wonderful son to Clinton and I!!

Today

Today I am thrilled to be a MOM! I am not always thrilled to be a mom, but today I am. I am so very thankful for my children. I feel so blessed that God entrusted them to my care. What a joy they are to me. When I look at them, I see how amazing and creative God is in their making. From head to toe, they are unique little beings.

Right now, Miles is sitting next to me watching Dora, learning colors in Spanish. I love watching him learn things. It's like I can see the wheels turning in his head. His big brown eyes watching so attentively. Wyatt is busy digging out my zip lock bag drawer. He loves digging things out of my drawers. It is so cute to watch him dig! He twists things around before throwing them behind him. Cora is off to school. She is really excited to go today because they are going to get to dig in the baseball field. Cora has really done well in school (not that I thought she'd do otherwise). We have discovered that in order for her to have a good day, she has to wear a skirt or dress. It's amazing how much difference an outfit can make on your day. It shouldn't surprise me though. It affects me the same way. I am pretty sure that they don't mention that in any parenting books. It is not a battle worth fighting (unless it's a matter of safety i.e. it's really cold and they want to wear shorts). So, she wears skirts and dresses and has wonderful days at school!

Today I am so thankful that God allowed me to be a mother. I am thankful for the most amazing children God gave to me.

Fun Fall Pictures!

We had a blast taking the kids pictures! It was a gorgeous fall day and the kids were in great moods! We really loved Miles "cheese" face! We tried to get him to say something else so he'd actually have a smile instead of the "cheese" lips! :)

I have included some of Hannah, Major and Cannon. They are great friends of Cora, Miles and Wyatt. We have had a great time being neighbors and friends! We have been really enjoying doing things together.

The Ulitmate Mud Puddle Adventure

Miles LOVES Puddles! We have had a lot of rain lately and so the dead end fills up quickly with the run off. This is such a great joy for Miles. He loves water and jumping into puddles and making quite a mess of things! Take in mind that it's October and quite chilly out~this means nothing to Miles~he feels no cold. Now, since daddy took the pictures, please excuse the fuzzy ones! :)

Painting the Pirate Ship!

Cora and Miles love painting! They had a great time painting and I had a wonderful time watching them, taking pictures, laughing, being amazed at how quickly they are growing up, in awe of their creativeness. I am so blessed to be their mom. What a precious gift God has given me. I am so thankful!

Puddin'

I decided that it would be fun to let the kids play with their snack as a sensory activity! So, we had chocolate pudding to "paint" and granola and dried fruit to "decorate the painting" and their bodies as the "canvas"! It was a hit!

Miles wasn't sure at first~he usually revels in messes, but this time Mom was "letting" him and he just didn't know what to think about that! It didn't take him long to get into it though.

Cora had a great time and she dug in right away! When Dad came home from work, she invited him to join the fun as well! He took off his shirt and soon he was the canvas that the kids were painting! Cora wanted to make sure that his entire back was covered!

Wyatt remained an outsider to the event~which I am sure he appreciated! He really enjoys watching his brother and sister play. He smiled and laughed and cooed a lot! It was a really enjoyable time for us all! If you haven't had fun with pudding, I suggest you try!

Four Wheelin' Anyone?

Miles loves Uncle Paul's four wheeler! He just loves to run to the shed, get the helmet on (which used to terrify him) and climb on! If he can talk daddy into it (which isn't a hard thing), he gets to ride all over the farm!

Wyatt's first week!

We had so much fun spending Wyatt's First Week of life with Nani and Pop Pop! We drove down right after we were released from the hospital and Wyatt proved to be a great little traveler! He never made a peep! Cora and Miles were great helpers and loved having their baby brother in between them. Every time we got out of the car, Cora would say,"Mom! Don't forget our baby!" It was really cute. It was a lot of fun for the cousins to get a chance to spend time together too. It was a great week!

The Arrival of Wyatt!

We were so very excited for the arrival of Wyatt! He arrived two weeks early, much to everyone's surprise! On June 22, 2008, at 6:30am, I noticed that it was going to be a very special day! I woke Clinton up and we began the "run around". We had to get everything cleaned and packed and ready for the next week. We arrived at the hospital and everything took off from there! He arrived at 5:03pm and was 7 pounds 5 ounces , 20 inches long. Just perfect! He was our smallest baby, but the size of a regular full term baby! He just seemed so tiny to us! And to think that most people have babies his size! We couldn't be more thrilled with our new little man! He is so precious to us! He is very content and sleeps very well! You can't ask for more than that!

Summer 2008!

We are having a lot of fun this summer right in our own back yard! We got the kids a little pool that they love and a swing that I (Amy) love so that we could enjoy being outside together as a family! God has blessed us with great children, great weather, and so much love for each other. I am always thankful for how well the kids get along. I am looking forward to seeing how Wyatt will fit with our little family.

Cora is growing up so fast and she is "teaching" Miles new things all the time! Miles grows so fast "learning" from his big sister and he loves to copy her. He follows her and repeats what she says and does what she does. It is really sweet to see them playing together and learning from each other.
